Dimitra

Senior Physiotherapist

Dimitra is a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal (MSK) care. With extensive experience in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating a diverse range of conditions, she is dedicated to empowering her patients to achieve lasting recovery and peak performance.

Originally from Greece, Dimitra earned a first-class honours degree in physiotherapy from the prestigious international program at the University of East London. After graduating, she relocated to the UK to advance her career in physiotherapy. Over the years, she has developed significant expertise in treating a wide range of conditions, including neck and back pain, sports-related injuries, and specializes in managing hip and ankle injuries as well as lower limb tendinopathies.

Dimitra believes in a holistic and patient-centered approach, integrating manual therapy techniques like joint mobilizations, acupuncture, and dry needling with tailored exercise programs. She is passionate about educating her patients, ensuring they understand their injuries, and designing bespoke rehabilitation plans to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Nik

Nik

Senior Physiotherapist

Nik is a highly skilled physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. He graduated from Keele University with a 1st class honours degree in 2018 and has since worked in a variety of clinical environments from hospitals, GP clinics, private physiotherapy practices and amateur rugby teams, allowing him to further improve upon his strong foundation in physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation.

Prior to his career as a physiotherapist, Nik served for 6 years as a Royal Marine and is where his love for physical activity and health began. Sustaining an array of injuries himself throughout his training and service whilst with the Royal Marines Commando has helped him to find his true passion in physiotherapy, enabling him to give back and support those who suffer with pain, disability, helping people get back to doing the things they love.

His military background has equipped him with the unique understanding of the physical demands faced by athletes and active individuals allowing him to provide a tailored and individual approach to rehabilitation and recovery.

Nik’s passion for physical activity and sport extends beyond his professional life; he is an avid enthusiast for strength and conditioning training and enjoys playing rugby and competing in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. His personal experience in varied sporting environments, combined with his experience as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist allows him to provide comprehensive and empathetic care, tailored to each individual and their specific rehabilitation goals and physical performance needs.

Personal Trainer at Physio Athletic

Tom is a passionate and dedicated personal trainer with a deep love for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their best. An accomplished endurance athlete, Tom completed the 2024 Ironman Wales—a grueling challenge consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile marathon run, all completed back-to-back. His next goals for 2025 include completing his second Ironman and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, demonstrating his commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing new challenges.

With a strong foundation in strength and conditioning, Tom combines his expertise with his personal passions, which include weightlifting, swimming, long-distance cycling, running, and rugby. Whether he’s playing on the field or cheering from the sidelines, Tom’s love for rugby complements his well-rounded approach to fitness.

Tom’s greatest joy lies in helping people discover their passion for health and fitness. He takes pride in guiding clients toward their personal bests, whether that’s achieving a new gym record, improving athletic performance, or simply getting into the best shape of their lives. His motivational coaching style and personalized approach inspire confidence and deliver lasting results.

Josh

Josh

Founder, Physiotherapist, and Personal Trainer

Josh is the founder and driving force behind Physio Athletic, combining over 15 years of personal training expertise with a decade of experience as a physiotherapist. Graduating from St George’s University of London, he has worked extensively in both the NHS and private sectors, specializing in musculoskeletal (MSK) care. Josh has also honed his skills working with elite athletes, including Charlton Athletic Football Club and the London Marathon, solidifying his reputation as a trusted expert in performance and rehabilitation.

A lifelong athlete, Josh grew up playing rugby before transitioning into bodybuilding, where he achieved remarkable success. In 2017, he won the Kent Classic, earning an invitation to the British Finals, where he placed 7th out of 15. Today, his athletic focus has shifted to endurance sports, with a passion for triathlons and a goal to complete an Ironman in 2025. He is also preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, reflecting his love for ambitious challenges.

Josh is deeply committed to helping his clients bridge the gap between rehabilitation and peak performance. He specializes in treating knees, shoulders, and ankles, with a particular passion for ACL and post-surgery rehabilitation. His approach combines manual therapy techniques—such as massage, acupuncture, and joint mobilizations—with tailored rehabilitation programs designed to empower clients to return to their sport or exercise pain-free and performing at their best.

In 2022, Josh founded Physio Athletic to create a space where physiotherapy and fitness converge, helping clients achieve optimal health and performance. He operates out of Sculpt and Sweat Studio, which he co-founded with his wife, Vicky, in 2023.

With a focus on individual goals and cutting-edge techniques, Josh is dedicated to helping every client unlock their full potential, whether in the gym, on the field, or in everyday life.
